Angry hockey mom goes viral for running on ice and scrapping with ref as son’s team loses 9-0
A youth hockey game in Prague descended into chaos after a furious mother stormed the ice and confronted a referee over penalties against her son’s team, earning herself a viral moment in the process.
The incident took place earlier in August during a matchup between the “United Selects” and the “Ice Mammoths.”Viralclips posted to Reddit,YouTube, and other platforms show the woman charging onto the ice in protest after a string of calls went against her son’s squad, who were already trailing 9-0 late in the second period.
In the footage, she can be seen arguing with officials before shoving one of them, prompting another to push her toward the bench. Since spectators can’t be put in the penalty box, she was removed from the ice, but the confrontation didn’t end there.

The woman continued hurling insults and flipping the bird at the refs before storming out again. Even a man wearing a Canada hat, who appeared to attempt to defuse the situation, failed to stop her from making a second trip onto the ice and appearing to throw something at an official. She was once again escorted away before the video cuts off.

According to theuploader, her frustration stemmed from multiple penalties called against her son’s team in quick succession.
This left them shorthanded in an already lopsided game, with just over a minute left in the second frame.
It’s not the first time an irate hockey mom has made headlines for clashing with an official. Earlier this year, a Pittsburgh mother wascharged with assaultafter allegedly attacking a referee who ejected her son for blindsiding an opposing player.
