BO6 & Warzone Season 2 Reloaded devs respond to player backlash on failed weapon buffs & nerfs
Black Ops 6 and Warzone shook up the meta in Season 2 Reloaded by introducing several long-awaited weapon buffs and nerfs, but the changes didn’t translate as expected.
InBO6 multiplayer, Treyarch buffed the GPR 91, Feng 82, melee weapons, sniper rifles, and some marksman rifles.
As forWarzone, Raven Software made wide-sweeping weapon changes, including a nerf to the Model L and C9 and buffs for the Kompakt 92 and Cypher 091. After this update, some players believe the Cypher 091 has officially dethroned the Model L as thebest weapon in Warzone.
Yet, while that may still be true, players discovered that some of those balancing updates didn’t happen, forcing the devs to respond.
BO6 and Warzone devs apologize for weapon tuning mistake
Warzone Loadouttested the Cypher 091 after Season 2 Reloaded went live and discovered that the maximum damage range is 45.7 meters, but the patch notes said it was 50.8 meters.
Raven Softwareresponded, “We’ve updated the patch notes to reflect the changes correctly.”

The errors didn’t stop there, as Warzone Loadout also reported that the GPR 91 and Feng 82 buffs didn’t work correctly either.
Then,TrueGameDatanoted, “I think they just made some errors in the patch notes copy-pasting – the before and after ranges are not correct for the Cypher here, and they match the Krig C exactly. So it was just a copy-paste error or something.”
Activisioncleared up the confusion and revealed, “We are actively investigating reports that some BlackOps 6 weapon tuning changes planned for Season 02 Reloaded are not behaving as expected.”

It’s unclear when the weapons will be adjusted accordingly, and this wasn’t the only hiccup on Season 2 Reloaded’s launch day. Zombies players were baffled that devs didn’t delay the update even though there wereknown glitchesahead of its release.
