However, rumors have circulated that another sex scene were filmed forBridgertonseason 3, the scene in question ending up on the cutting room floor prior to the show’s release.
Now,CoughlanandVericahave responded to fans on Instagram, explaining thatthe rumoredBridgertonseason 3 sex scenes between Penelope and Colin were never actually filmed.
The actor explained to one fan that additional scenes were never actually filmed, while the producer didn’t know where the claims came from, stating they weren’t true. Check out the pair’s comments to fans down below:

While claims of additional sex scenes between Colin and Penelope have been denied, their romance in season 3 has been the steamiest for any couple in the show so far. This includesa scene in episode 5 that’s six minutes long, the longest love scene the series has put to screen. Because of how long this scene alone is, the episodes reflect just how many romantic elements went into presenting the couple’s story. It also indicates a new level of sex scenes that opens the door for future characters.
By the timeBridgertonseason 3 ends, the core couple has experienced two major love scenes, both of which have important story implications surrounding their relationship. The lengthy scene happens when they’re engaged, while the final scene comes after Penelope reveals she is Lady Whistledown. While it’s understandable why more scenes would have been satisfying, especially because of how many other couples in the show have gotten, the ones onscreen hold major story importance despite not being as numerous.
Although it’s slightly disappointing more steamy scenes weren’t featured between Colin and Penelope this season, scenes with other characters featured in season 3 indicate there could still be hope for the newlyweds.It’s possibleBridgertonseason 4will feature additional scenes between the coupleas their relationship continues to blossom.
