What Does Shadow Of The Erdtree’s Point Of No Return Affect?

Players Will No Longer Be Able To Interact With Certain NPCs

Shadow of the Erdtree’s point of no return isn’t as all-encompassing as these moments can be in other games.Players aren’t locked into an end-game scenario after setting fire to the Sealing Tree, nor are they ejected from theexpansive Land of Shadow. However, it does change how players are able to interact with certain NPCs.

Many of the NPCs inShadow of the Erdtreeare followers of Miquella. Earlier in the DLC, the player can talk to these NPCs and receive quests from them. However, once the player burns the Sealing Tree, these same NPCs will see the player as their enemy. These NPCs will no longer appear where they previously did, and their questlines will no longer be available. Some even come back as enemies once the player has advanced far enough intoShadows of the Erdtree.
