Ex-Nintendo employees issue warning to Switch 2 console leakers: “They will find who it is”
Former Nintendo employees believe the company “will find” the people responsible for leakingSwitch 2consoles early.
During a video uploaded on May 27, former Nintendo employees Kit and Krysta sat down to discuss theviral Target photothat has been making its way around social media.
The picture in question shows Switch 2 consoles in an unlocked trolley, seemingly ready for distribution. Since then,numerous images have begun to surface online, with some fans boasting that they have received the portable console from retailers, despite it being locked behind a day-one patch.
Well, according to the pair, Nintendo will likely find those responsible for the leaks.

“I recall something like this happened with the original Switch. “We were within a week or so of the system coming out, and there was big video of some guy who had it…, and it was like code red to find out what happened,” said Kit.
“The interesting thing, though, is [Nintendo] can get pretty precise, with like finding where this is, who this is, and what store it came from. It was actually really surprising for me…Like again, these things can get scanned and identified.”
Kit mentioned that there are so many ways Nintendo can locate the leakers, which will ultimately enable them to “find who it is” even if the leaks have already gotten out.

Nintendo has a history of tracking down leakers and is known to be particularly fierce when it comes to protecting its intellectual property.
On May 2,Nintendo announced that it would be taking legal action against Genkiafter they leaked unofficial “mockups and renderings” of the Nintendo Switch 2. While infamous Nintendo “hacker” Gary Bowser was famouslyforced to pay the company “25-30%” of his income for the rest of his lifeafter creating software that allowed users to pirate Switch games.
