Getting the Memories of the Past Light Cone inHonkai: Star Railcan be a great way of improving some of your characters’ performances on the field, as it not only allows for more offensive presence but is also a reliable source of Energy Regeneration, which helps fill the Ultimate gauge – therefore, allowing the equipping character to use this special ability more frequently. Memories of the Past has been present in the game since before its release whenHonkai: Star Railwas still undergoing beta tests, though the Light Cone has never been available as a F2P (free-to-play) item.
Memories of the Past is a 4-star Light Cone aligned to the Path of the Harmony. Consequently, its effects can only be unlocked whenever equipped by a character who also follows the Harmony – characters from other Paths can equip the Light Cone, but they will only receive the base stat benefits and will not activate the item’s Superimposition abilities, which are the most important part of any Light Cone. It’s important that you not only know how to get Memories of the Past but also which of theHonkai: Star Railcharactersare the ideal candidates to equip it.

How To Unlock Memories Of The Past Light Cone In Honkai: Star Rail
4-Star Item Can Be Obtained From Any Banner
As was previously mentioned, the Memories of the Past Light Cone has been available in the game since its release and it can be claimed at any moment if you are lucky enough. As a 4-star item introduced with the banner system,Memories of the Past is part of the permanent loot pool across all banners. Essentially, what this means is that you can pull from limited-time character and Light Cone banners and the standard banner and, with all of them, have a chance of obtaining a copy of Memories of the Past inHonkai: Star Rail.
It is worth noting, however, that there are moments in which Memories of the Past has an increased drop rate – this is the time you should try to obtain it, as you will have better chances of actually getting it. So far, Memories of the Past has had its drop rate increased only twice, but it is getting a new bump in Version 2.3. During the Phase 1banners ofHonkai: Star Rail2.3,Memories of the Past will have an increased drop rate within the Light Cone Banners. These banners will run from June 19 to July 10.

Along with the 4-star Light Cones Day One of My New Life and Eyes of the Prey, Memories of the Past will have a 75% drop rate whenever a 4-star drop is ensured in that banner.Currently, banner pulls are the only way of getting Memories of the Past. This Light Cone cannot be obtained from events, trades in the Light Cone Manifest shop, or any other method. It is very likely that pulls will remain the only way of obtaining Memories of the Past, as it is not common for Light Cones to change how they are acquired.
Memories Of The Past Light Cone Effect & Stats In Honkai: Star Rail
4-Star Harmony Item Is On The Offensive Side
The Memories of the Past Light Cone is dedicated to Harmony characters, as was previously discussed. In terms of base stats, it offers fairly standard increases across the board. At level 80, its base HP reaches 952, its ATK stands at 423, and its DEF goes up to 396 – when equipped, all these bonuses become a part of the character’s stats, much like a Relic or Ornament piece. What is really important about Memories of the Past, however, is its Superimposition abilityinHonkai: Star Rail, which grants exclusive skills to the equipping character.
Its ability at S1 (Superimposition level 1) grants the user a 28% Break Effect bonus and, when they attack, they regenerate 4 Energy, an effect that can only be triggered once per turn. At S5, the maximum the Light Cone can be upgraded to, Memories of the Past’s Break Effect bonus is increased to a whopping 56% and it can regenerate 8 Energy instead of 4.For Harmony characters that rely on Break Effect or are simply a bit more offensive than standard buffers, this is the Light Cone they want to haveinHonkai: Star Rail.

All Active Honkai: Star Rail Redeem Codes (June 2024)
New Redemption Codes have arrived for Honkai: Star Rail, offering a wonderful boost to every player’s account in June 2024.
For reference, increasing the Superimposition level requires you to have multiple copies of the same Light Cone and then fuse one into another. When you fuse one Memories of the Past into another, the one that remains will increase to S2. If another is infused into it, for example, the Light Cone then becomes S3.

If you do manage to obtain multiple copies of Memories of the Past, it is recommended that you Superimpose them to increase their efficiency on whatever character you plan equipping it on.
Best Honkai: Star Rail Characters For Memories Of The Past Light Cone
Units That Take Advantage Of Break Effect & Energy Regeneration Are To Be Considered
The best characters to equip Memories of the Past are Harmony units that take advantage of the Break Effect stat. The first and one of the most obvious picks is Ruan Mei.The 5-star Ice character’s best abilities scale directly off of her Break Effect stat, so having it as high as possible makes it more effective, and that is where Memories of the Past comes in. This is, in fact, one of the recommended Light Cones forRuan Mei’s build inHonkai: Star Rail, if her signature 5-star Light Cone Past Self in Mirror is not available.
This, which is the best alternative for Ruan Mei, is also the second best-in-slot for the Harmony Trailblazer. While the new version of the protagonist works better with Ruan Mei’s signature Light Cone, as well,Memories of the Past is the immediate substitute, surpassing any other item – even 5-star Light Cones like But the Battle Isn’t Over. For Ruan Mei and theHarmony Trailblazer inHonkai: Star Rail, both of which rely heavily on Break Effect, Memories of the Past is the best Light Cone to have in case Past Self in Mirror is not available.

While these are the two characters to take the most advantage out of Memories of the Past, Harmony characters with an inclination for offensive actions can also use the 4-star item. In fact, this is the best Light Cone for Yukong since it will increase her offensive potential(she helps the team deal damage) and boost her Energy restoration, which will allow her to have her Ultimate, the most important part of her kit, active.
Other Harmony characters like Asta and Tingyun can also see benefits from Memories of the Past simply due to the Energy regeneration bonus.
While it is a 4-star item and its stats do not match those of 5-star counterparts, Memories of the Past is one of the best Light Cones for Harmony characters in the game – coincidentally, the characters best it fits are also some of the strongest support units. If you are lucky enough to obtain it, your presence with Ruan Mei or Harmony Trailblazer on the battlefield should increase, which could even increase the efficiency at which you playFirefly inHonkai: Star Rail.
