Emmy nominee Moses Ingram, known for her role as Jolene inThe Queen’s Gambit, plays Cleo Johnson. The character is described as a mother who’s balancing the political underbelly of Black Baltimore even as she’s struggling to provide for her family. It’s teased that the lives of Maddie and Cleo appear to have a connection. But that turns to danger whenMaddie grows fixated on Cleo’s mystifying disappearance.
