The Way Home fans might have accidentally found Colton’s missing brother

In 1965, Colton Landry’s older brother went missing. He’s never been seen since, butThe Way Homefans might have found him before the Season 3 finale.

“25 first arrived, 25 never tried. 65 thought they died, 65 still alive.” It’s a riddle Grandma Fern sang earlier on inThe Way Home Season 3, yet we still don’t properly know what she meant by it. Here’s what we do know, though: teen Colton time traveled, but it wasn’t to find his missing brother.

Adult Colton in The Way Home

Episode 9cleared this up, revealing he first went in the pond as a kid to try and save Evelyn from drowning. It wasn’t until Rick’s death that the pond allowed him to time travel, instead taking him back to 1814 to unknowingly meet the adult version of his future son.

Since then, Colton has been all over the shop in terms of show timelines, and it’s been difficult to keep up. We’ve only recently seen his adult self in Del’s imagination, but as we head back to 1999, is Colton’s brother hiding in plain sight?

Colton’s brother might be a twin in The Way Home

Fans certainly seem to think so. As we head towards The Way Home Season 3 Episode 10, a popular theory guesses Colton’s brother is actually his twin, meaning we’ve seen him frequently in scenes since the show began.

Taking to Facebook, oneexplained: “Okay, I made this comment before but here I go again with my Colton theory… I don’t think this is the same man. I am starting to ponder if either Colton’s brother was a twin or they look a lot alike and he was helping Colton look for Jacob! Maybe that is how they are going to bring Colton back, it was his brother that died in the truck accident.

The Way Home Season 3 Episode 9 has finally revealed the biggest mystery of all

Plus we saw the Hallmark video of ‘Colton’ saying he wasn’t a time traveler but we all know that he is or at least one of these men is.

Del, Alice, and Elliot in The Way Home Season 3

A second weighed in: “I wondered this! In some scenes he has a wedding ring on, others he doesn’t,” with a third agreeing: “The clip where the actors were saying, ‘I’m a time traveler,’ but the actor who plays Colton said, ‘I’m not a time traveler.’ Perhaps he wasn’t joking. Your theory could be right on the mark.”

While Colton’s brother isn’t exactly a question we need answering immediately, this theory does hold up. We don’t know enough about the mystery boy to be able to rule things out – in fact, we don’t know anything more than what I’ve written in the introduction.

As far as we’re aware, nobody officially knows the whereabouts of Colton’s brother after he disappeared. Considering he knew what the pond was capable of, you’d have thought Colton might have put two and two together for both his brother andJacobbeing stuck in different timelines.

However, his two times venturing into the past traumatized him so much, he never went back in. He also wasn’t aware of Jacob’s true identity, fully believing he’d met his ancestors.

Will we find out more about Colton’s brother or Fern’s 1965 riddle in The Way Home Season 3 finale? It’s all to play for, but they certainly aren’t priority questions. If thebinge-worthy TV showwants a fourth season, they might leave this one thread loose for next time.
