No stranger toStar Warscosplays, she’s met Hayden Christensen once before dressed like his character, Anakin Skywalker. However, she decided to go a different direction for this meet-and-greet, dressing as Padmé. Tabbitha had another amazing experience meeting Christensen, saying in her caption, “He’s a sweetheart to his fans, so down to earth, and everyone who comes to tell me they met, him consistently says what a nice guy he is. & it’s true.” Tabbitha’s dedication to her craft shines in her post, proclaiming that she made this gorgeous Padmé outfit in just two days.

The elected Queen of Naboo, Padmé Amidala won galactic acclaim for her heroism when she led her people against the Trade Federation. She became an influential member of the Republic Senate, but her life changed forever when she fell in love with Anakin Skywalker. Padmé Amidala found herself torn between her love for Anakin and her belief in the principles of the Republic, especially when Anakin became Darth Vader. She was brutally attacked by Anakin on Mustafar, and died in childbirth.
Anakin Skywalker’s wife went largely unacknowledged in the originalStar Warstrilogy, but the addition of the prequels changed all that. Padmé is a central player in each of the prequels, just as important as any Jedi character. Her first appearance in the movies was as a young queen, displaying a remarkable penchant for diplomacy as well as bravery. Going on to become a respected senator in the Republic’s Senate, she prioritizes the safety and wellbeing of the citizens of her planet above everything else.
