Wilson are out, Amazon has full creative control, and the next film will be produced by David Heyman and Amy Pascal – the latter of whom produced Casino Royale, as well as Holland’s Spider-Man movies.

Denis Villeneuve (Dune, Prisoners) has also signed on to direct the first in what’s presumed to be a new series of movies, with Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders) penning the script.
So, who’s playing the newJames Bond? Holland was included on an alleged wishlist, and now he’s spoken about the prospect of taking on the role.

Tom Holland says playing James Bond would be the “pinnacle”
During a newYouTube cooking video with Gordon Ramsay, the chef jokingly asks if the name James is in any of Holland’s future projects.
“There’s speculation at the minute, we’ll keep it to a minimum for now… we’ll get there one day,” he teased.

When Ramsay asked him more seriously how he’d feel about playing Bond, Holland said: “Every young British actor, it’s the pinnacle of working in our industry.
“I already consider myself to be the luckiest kid alive. I could have never have dreamed to have the career I’ve had.”

Let’s remember, not only is Holland stillSpider-Man(andhe’s about to start filming Brand New Day), but one of the leads inChristopher Nolan’s The Odysseynext year, and he’s expected to show up inAvengers: Doomsday.

He also played Nathan Drake in the Uncharted movie and starred in several acclaimed films, like The Lost City of Z, The Impossible, and The Devil All the Time.
In an earlier interview with Total Film (viaVariety), Holland revealed he’d pitched a ‘young Bond’ movie. “I had a meeting, after or during [Spider Man: Far From Home], with Sony to pitch this idea of a young Bond film that I’d come up with,” he explained.
“It was the origin story of James Bond. It didn’t really make sense. It didn’t work. It was the dream of a young kid, and I don’t think the Bond estate [was] particularly interested.”
Holland is now 29 years old, and with the next Bond actor likely signing on for a 15-year commitment, he’s the right age. The question is, is he a good fit?
