When is The Chosen Season 5 on Prime Video?
The ChosenSeason 5 (also titled The Last Supper) is in cinemas now, but if you want to stream it, you’ll need to wait until it comes to Prime Video – and this is when it’s expected to drop.
This is a big season of The Chosen. The title is a giveaway, but it’s chronicling the events of Holy Week, from Jesus’ triumphal (and tragic) entry into Jerusalem all the way to his final sitdown with the apostles and his arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane.
Just like the fourth season last year,Season 5 has been split into three parts for a theatrical release. Part 2 is available in cinemas this weekend, and the third part will arrive in theaters on April 11 (at which point you’ll be able to catch up with the whole season).
However, understandably, some fans want to watch it at home. So, this is when you should expect to see it on Amazon’s streaming service.
When The Chosen Season 5 is coming to Prime Video
The Chosen Season 5 will be available to stream on Prime Video in June 2025, but an exact date hasn’t been given yet.
This was confirmed by Dallas Jenkins when he announcedThe Chosen’s new agreement with Amazon, making the streamer its official third-party partner.
“Sometime in early to mid-June, Season 5 will be released on streaming here in the States exclusively on Prime Video,” Jenkins said during a Facebook Q&A.
In another livestream, Jenkins explained: “As part of this deal, in exchange for what Prime Video is bringing to the table, it will get the first exclusive streaming window after the theatrical release. So, for 90 days, it will be on Prime Video in the US.”

How to watch The Chosen for free before Season 5
Will The Chosen Season 5 be available to stream for free?
Yes! The Chosen Season 5 will be available to stream for free… eventually.
Jenkins and the show’s team have always promised that the “mothership series” will remain free. While you’ll need to pay if you want to watch it sooner, the fifth season will stream on The Chosen’s website and app later this year.
“So, after the season finale, there’s 90 more days, and then it will be in The Chosen app,” Jenkins explained.
In other words, if you want to stream Season 5 for free, you may have to wait until September 2025.
This may be frustrating for longtime fans, but you need to think about the benefits. Not only will Amazon help the series reach a wider audience, but it’ll also assist with funding the franchise’s spinoffs.
“For several years, the team at Amazon MGM Studios has proved over and over they’re passionate about this show and our fans. They’re going to make us better and get the show to more people, and I can’t wait to build this relationship,” Jenkins said.
